Your public business page
Every Habitia organization has a public business page at home.thehabitia.app/m/<your-slug>. It’s a simple, professional landing page that shows your name, logo, contact info, and your active rental listings — built and updated automatically as you use Habitia.
This page does double duty:
- A page you can share with prospects, Facebook contacts, family members, future Charter Members — anyone who asks “do you have anything available?”
- Your business website for Stripe. During Stripe’s onboarding (the Connecting Stripe flow), Stripe asks for a business website. Use your
home.thehabitia.app/m/<slug>URL.
Finding your URL
Your slug is generated from your organization name when you sign up — for example, “Acme Rentals” becomes acme-rentals. Check Settings → Organization Info under Account Info for the exact value. Your full URL is:
https://home.thehabitia.app/m/<your-slug>Note: The slug is fixed. You can’t change it once your org is created. If you re-brand, contact support for help.
What the page shows
The page is split into two sections:
Header (your business identity)
- Your logo (the one you uploaded in Organization Info, or a colored letter tile if you haven’t uploaded one yet).
- Your organization name.
- Your business address (if you’ve filled it in).
- A footprint line like “Managing 8 residential units across 2 cities in PR” — calculated automatically from your portfolio.
- Your public business description — the text you wrote in Settings.
- Contact email and phone, if you’ve added them.
Listings
- Every unit where Listed for rent is on, automatically. Each shows the cover photo, rent, beds/baths, sq ft, and a link to the unit’s own page.
- If you have zero listings, the section reads “No listings right now” — clean, no empty grid.
Updating the page
You don’t edit the page directly. It pulls from your organization profile and your units:
| What’s on the page | Where to edit it |
|---|---|
| Logo | Settings → Organization Info → Organization Logo |
| Name, address, email, phone | Settings → Organization Info → Organization Details |
| Description | Settings → Organization Info → Public business description |
| Listings | Each unit → Listed for rent checkbox |
| Photos and rent on each listing | Each unit’s detail page |
Edits usually reflect within seconds. The first time you change something, it can take up to a minute.
Tip: Open your page in an incognito tab after editing — that way you see exactly what a prospect sees, with no logged-in caching.
Why Stripe asks for this
When you connect a Stripe account (Connecting Stripe), Stripe’s KYC review checks that your business is real — they look at the website you provide. The home.thehabitia.app/m/<slug> URL satisfies this because it shows:
- A business name and address.
- A description of what the business does.
- Real activity (the listings).
Note: If Stripe’s review flags your page as “not enough information,” the most common fix is adding a public business description and at least one listing. A blank page can read as “shell business” to Stripe’s automated review.
What’s next
- Publishing a unit on the public listings site — adding listings is what populates this page.
- Organization profile — what to put in your logo, address, and description fields.
